Privacy Policy
This is a translation for convenience. The Japanese version is authoritative, and Japanese law governs.
VirtualCross ("we") sets out below how we handle information in Livote (the "service").
1. Information we collect
- Broadcasters: the identifier, display name and email address provided by your social login (Google or X). We do not store passwords.
- Viewers: an anonymous identifier issued per device, your voting record, and how you joined (QR code or direct link). We do not collect email addresses or names.
- Payment: credit card details are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never hold card numbers.
- Cookies and local storage: used to keep you signed in and to identify a viewer’s device.
- Connection data: the source IP address is used for bot protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and rate limiting. It is used only for that assessment and is not stored with voting records.
The service does not use location data or your camera.
2. Purposes
- operating the service, tallying votes and rendering them on the stream overlay
- discouraging repeat voting by the same viewer and preventing abuse
- billing and plan management
- responding to enquiries and sending important notices
- producing statistics in a form that cannot identify an individual
3. Disclosure and processors
We do not disclose personal information to third parties without your consent, except as required by law. We use the following processors to operate the service.
- Cloudflare (hosting, delivery, database, file storage, bot protection)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Google (social login, and generation for the AI features when used)
- X Corp. (social login)
4. Retention and deletion
- Aggregated data for finished events is deleted after the retention period set by your plan. Retention periods are shown on the pricing page.
- Raw tap logs are kept only while an event is live and are deleted when it ends.
- If you delete your account, the events and aggregated data you created are deleted. Information we are required by law to retain is excepted.
- Broadcasters can export their own data as JSON from the account settings.
5. Safeguards
We apply reasonable safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS), access control scoped to your organisation, and signed participation tokens with expiry.
6. Access, correction and deletion requests
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, contact us at the address below. We will verify your identity and respond promptly in accordance with the law.
