Livote

Livote — Realtime audience polling for livestreams

Your viewers tap.Your stream overlay moves.

A live audience poll for OBS. Viewers scan a QR code and vote from their phone — no app, no account — and the overlay does the counting, so you are not reading numbers out of chat mid-stream.

LIVECamera feed is a mock-up
A poll overlay on a stream: four horizontal bars, each with its vote count and share of the total. It occupies one small block; the rest of the frame is the video, unobstructed

The overlay is one OBS browser source. It has no background, so it composites straight onto your scene.

Your viewer’s phone
  • Viewers just scan

No app to install, no account to make

  • You just paste a URL

    One OBS browser source

What changes

Nothing to count. Something to talk about.

Running a poll in chat means scrolling, tallying and reading the options aloud. Write one question instead.

  • No counting by eye

Chat scrolls past. A vote lands as a number you can read at a glance.

  • Something to talk about

Split, lopsided, overturned at the last second — the numbers hand you the next thing to say.

  • Save it for the reveal

Hide the running count on the overlay and on your viewers’ phones, independently.

Where one question fits

  • Game streamsPut up a question during a loading screen or a respawn
  • Just chattingSplit the room on a two-way question, then talk about it
  • VTubersPut the outfit, the BGM or the segment name to a vote
  • WebinarsAsk the room instead of waiting on raised hands

Getting started

Three things, then you are live

Write the question, paste one URL into OBS, show the QR code. After that you are just pressing buttons while you stream.

  1. Clay-style illustration of a finger pressing a square panel

Put the QR code on stream

Every event comes with a join QR code and an 8-digit code. Drop either one into your scene or onto a slide.

  2. Clay-style illustration of a phone with round buttons on its screen

    Viewers vote from their phone

The QR opens a web page. Nothing to download, nothing to log into. The button answers the instant they tap it.

  3. Clay-style illustration of a bar chart growing inside a screen

    The overlay moves on stream

Counters roll up as the votes arrive, and rows swap places the moment the ranking changes — all inside one corner of the frame.

Running the same poll next week? Duplicate the event instead of retyping the questions.

On stream

Here is what it looks like on stream

It is built like a sports score bug, not like a slide. What sits behind it is not white or black — it is your video.

Five themes

Three chart types

NeonBar
The Neon theme on a stream, drawn as a Bar chart: four options with their vote counts

All five are on every plan, and they differ in more than colour: bar thickness, corner radius, outline weight and counter size are all part of the theme.

Five themes today, with more to come.

Coming

Or have the AI design one

Describe your stream and the AI builds a theme to match. It can only return values from a range we set, so nothing comes out broken. Paid plans only.

OBS

One browser source. That is the whole integration.

No desktop app and no virtual camera. Paste the URL into an OBS Browser source and it composites onto your scene with a real alpha channel — an ordinary OBS source you can drag, scale and crop.

Clay-style illustration of transparent layers sliding into a broadcast screen
  • Nothing to install

No driver, no system extension, no code-signed package. Nothing that an OS update can break.

  • Not a chroma key

The page has no background colour, so OBS alpha-composites it. No green fringing around the letters.

  • Drag the graph into place

Move it and resize it right in the editor demo. In OBS you add one full-screen source.

  • Zoom, Teams and Meet

Bring it into OBS, then send OBS out through its own virtual camera. Nothing extra to build on our side.

Console

One screen to run the whole thing

You drive the poll by hand: standby, open, close, reveal. Every screen flips at the same time, so the timing stays yours.

CONSOLE
The Livote console: stage controls, the running tally, the join QR code, and a preview of what is on stream
  • Four buttons, four stages

Nothing closes itself. Even when the countdown hits zero, the poll closes when you close it.

  • Show or hide, per screen

The phones and the stream overlay are separate switches — keep the numbers hidden until the reveal, then drop them all at once.

  • See what is on stream

The console mirrors the overlay OBS is rendering, so you are not hunting for another window mid-stream.

  • The QR stays up

Late arrivals are normal. Put the join code back on screen whenever you want.

How tickets work

  • One ticket covers a stream of up to 10,000 people for 1 hour (paid plans).
  • One ticket per 10,000 people of capacity, so bigger streams use more.
  • Extending adds 1 hour at a time and uses the same number of tickets as the start.
  • Raising the capacity mid-stream uses the extra tickets for the time that is left.
  • You always see a confirmation before tickets are used. Used tickets are not refunded.
  • Monthly tickets reset on the 1st (00:00 UTC) and do not carry over. They are used before extra tickets.
  • Rehearsals are free and use no tickets (up to 5 devices, 30 minutes).

Extra tickets: ¥1,200 each (paid plans only, valid for 365 days from purchase, up to 50 at a time)

Extra AI images: 100 for ¥1,500 (one-time, paid plans only, valid for 365 days from purchase)

Billed in Japanese yen wherever you are — roughly $13, $33 and $330 a month. Your card issuer sets the actual rate. The price shown is the amount charged.

Business is the plan for companies using Livote commercially. The price shown is a starting point; it varies with concurrent participants, identity assurance and options.
